Two-Story Addition & Front Porch, Pebble Point Estates, TN
This project expands an existing home with a new two-story addition, larger L-shaped front porch, and new side entry. The addition includes a garage on the lower level and a 340 SF office on the second floor, accessed directly from the existing home's upper level. Matching shed dormers and aligned roof forms bring more natural light, increase usable space, and create a stronger connection between the existing house and the addition. The result is a larger and more functional home that maintains the character of the existing residence.
Whole-Home Remodel & Additions in Franklin, TN
This project completely remodels and expands an existing home with a new sunroom, enlarged primary suite, large side addition, and expanded front porch. The design opens up the previously divided interior, creating stronger connections between the kitchen, living, dining, front porch, and backyard. A new garage and workshop take advantage of the site's changing grade, while the additions are carefully integrated with the existing home's scale, materials, and roof forms. The result is a more spacious, connected, and functional home designed to support both the homeowners' current and future needs.
Multi-Level Garage Addition with Connector, El Rancho Estates, TN
This project adds a multi-level garage addition to an existing single-family home, connected through a two-story connector that improves circulation between the house, the garage, and the backyard. Responding to the site's changing grade, the design integrates multiple garage levels while introducing a new deck, contemporary material palette, and generous glazing. The result is a functional addition that complements the scale and architectural character of the existing home.
Barn-Style Multi-Use Structure in Walterhill, Murfreesboro, Tennessee
This project proposes an affordable barn-inspired multi-use structure that combines a dwelling unit, an enclosed garage, and a covered carport within a cohesive architectural form. The design balances cost-efficiency, future adaptability, and functional flexibility while integrating multiple structural systems into a simple and unified architectural expression.
Two-Story Addition in Green Hills, Nashville, Tennessee
This project reconfigured the existing home with a two-story addition to create a first-floor primary suite, three upstairs bedrooms, and more functional shared living spaces while minimizing demolition. The design preserves existing plumbing where possible, improves circulation and natural light, and complements the home's original architectural character with a cost-effective addition.
DADU Addition with Shared Deck Connection, Hillsboro Acres, Tennessee
This project adds a new two-story DADU to the backyard of an existing single-family home, using the existing deck to connect the new structure with the main house. The lower level is dedicated to a music studio, while the upper floor provides a compact yet complete living space with a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, laundry, storage, and living room. The design balances functionality, efficient space planning, and compatibility with the scale and character of the existing home.
Second-Story Addition and Attic Renovation, Sylvan Park, Tennessee
This project expands the upper level of an existing single-family home to better accommodate the client's growing space needs. By adding a second story above an existing rear volume, we created a larger primary bedroom, closet, and bathroom while repurposing the original attic as a home office and playroom. The addition was carefully designed to match the home's existing roof form and architectural character, creating functional new living spaces that feel fully integrated with the original house.
Two-Story Addition in Thompsons Station, Tennessee
This two-story addition seamlessly integrates client programmatic needs with structural and zoning constraints by transforming potential limitations into key design opportunities. Through strategic circulation adjustments, a 'sunroom-inspired' living extension, and a counterbalanced façade articulation, the project successfully elevates spatial quality while preserving the integrity of the existing structure.
House Addition in Green Hill, Old Hickory, Tennessee
This project expands the home by extending its existing architectural language to introduce a new sunroom and a private guest suite, seamlessly integrated through thoughtful massing and a connecting shed roof. The interior is reorganized for modern living, featuring a dual-sided fireplace and strategically placed utility spaces, while a generous rear deck and large windows strengthen the connection to the backyard.
DADU Addition with Deck Connection, East Nashville, Tennessee
This project adds a three-story DADU to an existing single-family home on a steeply sloped site, expanding the overall living capacity while maintaining a strong physical connection to the main house through a shared deck. The design takes advantage of the changing grade to create a walkout lower level and organize the program across three distinct floors. The DADU includes a primary suite, office, laundry, screen porch, and additional bedrooms, with a flexible lower level that opens to the backyard. Overall, the project extends the functionality of the existing home by integrating new living spaces into the site conditions and strengthening the relationship between indoor spaces and the landscape.
