We are honored to receive 1st place in the design competition organized by The Nashville Food Project (TNFP).
The Nashville Food Project is a non-profit organization that focuses on promoting sustainability, community, and delicious food. To celebrate its mission, The Nashville Food Project recently launched a design competition to create a new community space that would embody its three pillars: Grow, Cook, and Share. And the winner of this competition was none other than Fabl Design.
The project includes three main pieces, each of which is a reference to the three pillars of The Nashville Food Project. The wash and pack station represents Grow, the open kitchen represents Cook, and the gathering hall represents Share. The design seamlessly integrates these three key elements, creating a space that is not only functional, but also beautiful and inspiring.
GROW
The wash and pack station is designed to be an efficient and ergonomic workspace, with ample counter space, sink, and storage. It is the perfect place to grow your culinary skills and experiment with new ingredients.
COOK
The open kitchen is a celebration of food and cooking, featuring state-of-the-art appliances, large countertops, and a spacious layout that encourages interaction and collaboration. Whether you're a seasoned chef or a beginner cook, you'll love spending time in this welcoming and inspiring space.
SHARE
The gathering hall represents the final pillar, Share, and it is the heart of the project. Sharing food has always been an important aspect of human culture, as it brings people together and fosters a sense of community. Food is not just nourishment for the body, but also for the soul. When we share food with others, we are sharing a part of ourselves, and this act of generosity has the power to build strong bonds and create lasting memories. Sharing food can also provide an opportunity to learn about other cultures and cuisines, and to broaden our perspectives and understanding of the world. Additionally, sharing food can help reduce food waste, as well as promote sustainable living, as people are able to share resources and make the most of what they have. Overall, the act of sharing food is a simple but powerful way to bring people together and create a sense of belonging and community. This spacious and open room is designed to bring people together, providing a warm and welcoming space for community events, workshops, and other gatherings. The high ceilings, large windows, and natural materials create a sense of openness and light, making this space perfect for both formal and informal events.
In conclusion, the design competition winner project by Fabl Design perfectly embodies the three pillars of The Nashville Food Project: Grow, Cook, and Share. The design seamlessly integrates functionality, beauty, and inspiration, creating a space that will be treasured by the community for years to come. Whether you're a foodie, a gardener, or simply someone who loves spending time with friends and family, this project is sure to capture your heart and imagination.
